Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center, Trinity Repertory Company, The LightBox Theatre Company and many others for full productions, special events, and national tours.

One of the first productions in theater for Miss Ryan began while she was employed at Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center, and was a collaboration between MPTN and Trinity Repertory Company.  Duties included performing on stage, producing, casting, etc. A project that began as a festival of plays named "Theater From the Four Directions" in 2001, directly resulted in two full productions of two plays from that festival which Miss Ryan worked independently on after leaving the Museum in 2002. This work included the full scale, regular season production of "The Buz'Gem Blues" at Trinity Repertory Company in 2005 and the National Tour of "Grandchildren of the Buffalo Soldiers" collaborative between the Penumbra Theatre and Trinity Repertory Company through February of 2006.

Producing/Production Assistance and Consulting on all aspects of live and taped shows (film, television, theater, concerts and special events) including guest lists, scenery, props, wardrobe, marketing, music, creative concepts, etc.

 Executive Producer of television programs including the first Native American News Magazine program on television in California with duties including: writing the scripts, treatment, running the production including music concept for the commissioned piece of music for the show, graphics, training the show host, costuming (featuring the designs in jewelry, shoes and clothing of Leah Shenandoah - daughter of Joanne Shenandoah and an accomplished artist in her own right), scheduling and appearing as a guest.

 

Guests who were booked for that show included Wes Studi, and break through first on camera Native media coverage of such major events as the First Americans in the Arts awards show at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA in 2007.

Tara J. Ryan serves as Executive Producer and Public Affairs Officer for NATV, Native American Television.

 

Content including the first ever coverage by a Native American organization of a Presidential Campaign, Inauguration and Inaugural events with official credentials from the Senate Radio and TV Gallery and the Presidential Inaugural Committee.
